Important: Fiberglass Hood

This is a hand-laid fiberglass aftermarket hood, not a factory steel or aluminum hood.

The hood is supplied unpainted with a black gel-coat finish. The gel coat is a protective surface from the fiberglass manufacturing process; it is not the final paint finish. Additional preparation is required before painting.

A qualified body shop or experienced installer should test fit the hood and properly block, prep, prime, and paint it to achieve the desired finished appearance. As with virtually all fiberglass aftermarket body panels, minor surface preparation and adjustment may be required during installation.

Fiberglass products are hand-manufactured and may have minor variations that are normal characteristics of the manufacturing process.

Important: Gel-Coat Finish

Gel-coat color and appearance may vary. Depending on current production, the hood may arrive with a different gel-coat shade, texture, or appearance than shown in the listing photos. These variations are normal characteristics of fiberglass production and are not considered a defect.

The gel coat is not the final paint finish. The hood requires preparation, blocking, priming, and painting before installation. Please do not purchase this hood expecting the gel-coat appearance shown in the photos to be the final color or finish.

Installation and Safety

Professional body-shop preparation and installation are recommended. The manufacturer states that hood pins are required for aftermarket hoods. Have a qualified installer confirm and complete the appropriate hood-pin installation for your vehicle.
