Important Installation InformationThis hood is supplied unpainted and requires preparation before installation and painting. Always test-fit the hood before sanding, trimming, modifying or beginning paint work. Professional body-shop installation is recommended. The hood is designed to use factory hood hinges, latch and hardware. Adjustments to the hinges, latch and surrounding panels may be necessary to achieve proper alignment and fitment. Hood pins are strongly recommended for additional safety. Use an appropriate heat shield or insulation pad as required for your vehicle. Remove factory hood struts or shocks if applicable unless TruFiber or your installer confirms they are suitable for this aftermarket hood. Inspect the hood carefully for shipping damage before accepting freight delivery. Document any damage with the carrier before signing for the shipment. For a typical hood which weighs less than 50lbs, that's only $250 plus freight.
