Hoods and Trunks are made from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber material. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks are manufactured using a two-part construction design. The top layer is composed of carbon fiber material bonded to the hood surface with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear (Poly Shield), UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high gloss finish. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer enhancing the product’s structural integrity. The edges are smoothed by hands to insure good quality finish all around. Vis uses only Air Craft Grade AAA Carbon material. All Carbon products come in standard Black 2x2 weave with glossy clear coats. Comes with latches that interface directly with your factory latch points, meaning you bolt the hood right up to your vehicle at the same mounting points as your factory hood and you can then use your factory latch to open and close the hood. That being said, this VIS carbon hood is substantially lighter than your factory metal hood, and for that reason, hood pins are very highly recommended. Hood pins provide an extra measure of safety and security to make sure the hood stays closed even at high speeds.

IMPORTANT DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: PLEASE INSPECT FREIGHT SHIPPED ITEMS OUT OF THE BOX BEFORE SIGNING FOR THE DELIVERY. If parts arrive damaged or missing, please do not SIGN for delivery and REFUSE the package. If the driver will not let you refuse it without signing for it then sign "DAMAGED" or "PARTS MISSING". If the parts are refused and not damaged or missing, the customer will be responsible for shipping. If the driver refuses to let you inspect the delivery please accept the package and sign "DRIVER DID NOT LET ME INSPECT PARTS" on the driver's copy.






Freight Shipping: All freight shipments must be inspected prior to signing the delivery receipt. It is necessary to remove all packaging materials from the merchandise to inspect for freight damage such as broken corners or punctures that may have been caused by a forklift. If there are signs of damage, refuse the delivery and sign the delivery receipt as "DAMAGED" then take photos of the box and damaged of parts and contact us immediately to file a damage claim. Failure to do so will result in the possible loss of any claim.
