Why 8 screws?
Eight screws are supplied so the installer has flexibility during installation. The installer can use either 3 or 4 screws per side, depending on the installation and fitment.

IMPORTANT — THIS IS A FIBERGLASS COMPONENT

This visor is a hand-laid fiberglass aftermarket component, not an injection-molded OEM plastic part. Because fiberglass is hand-produced, minor surface imperfections and variations can occur. Normal fiberglass preparation should be expected before painting.

Preparation may include:

• Sanding the gel coat
• Finishing minor surface imperfections
• Minor trimming if necessary for fitment
• Priming
• Final sanding and preparation
• Painting

Professional body-shop preparation is recommended. For the best finished result, use a body shop or installer experienced with fiberglass body components.

TEST FIT BEFORE PAINTING

Do not paint the visor before completing the test fit.

The test fit is necessary to verify:

• Overall positioning
• Alignment
• A-pillar fitment
• Any minor trimming needed for a tighter fit
• Windshield clearance
• Windshield wiper clearance

The visor should be fully test fitted and adjusted before painting. Once painted, avoid repeatedly moving the visor around the vehicle because the finished surface can be scratched.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Professional installation is recommended. Installation requires drilling into the A-pillars and working with a fiberglass body component.

1. Test Fit: Position the visor on the vehicle and establish the desired overall position and alignment.
2. Check Wiper Clearance: Cycle the windshield wipers to ensure they do not contact the underside of the visor.
3. Mark Mounting Locations: Once proper positioning has been established, mark the mounting locations on the A-pillars.
4. Drill the A-Pillars: Drilling is required for the supplied self-tapping screws. The installer can use either 3 or 4 screws per side. Eight screws are supplied.
5. Remove & Prepare: Remove the visor and complete fiberglass sanding, finishing, priming and painting.
6. Apply Betaseal: After painting, apply the supplied Betaseal urethane adhesive to the three windshield-contact standoffs.
7. Secure the Visor: Reposition the visor and secure the A-pillar mounting points using the supplied self-tapping screws.
8. Allow to Settle: Allow the installation to settle for 24 hours before driving.
